The Difference is downtown

This marketing initiative has one goal-To help the businesses in downtown Spartanburg succeed. The main emphasis is on promoting the businesses through consistent and creative social media posts. The complimentary web site is a tool to help businesses keep their names in front of the public and shows visitors the many reasons to visit the downtown Spartanburg area. By combining all aspects of this plan, we will be able to increase exposure, increase foot traffic, and increase sales.

Once you are signed on, we come out and meet you, take photos of your business, get more information about your business, and get to know you. You can give us anything you feel we may need to promote your business.

We are expecting to post 10-15 times per month, across various pages, targeting the Spartanburg and the surrounding areas. The posts will highlight the many participating businesses and other benefits of visiting downtown Spartanburg. Click Here to see some samples. 

In addition to the ongoing social media campaign, we will be highlighting individual participating businesses in our posts. These could be special offers, new services, or just a highlight of the business.      

Every business gets a FREE LISTING on the web site www.thedifferenceisdowntown.com under the correct category. The listing includes address and phone number, a brief description, and a link that shows their location on a map of downtown Spartanburg.     

Participating businesses can enhance their listing by adding links to their web site, their email, and they can also add a "Find Out More" button.  This button can be a link to their web site, their specials, or any other link you may want. It can also be a link to a personalized page that we would build for you with whatever info you would like included.                      

The main emphasis of this campaign is the social media posts. However, we will be constantly promoting the web site so we can build traffic and have a tool visitors can use to explore all the business in downtown Spartanburg.

While all this is going on, we will be working to build partnerships and relationships with people and businesses that can help us meet our goal. We will be contacting the local media, researching other social media platforms, gathering email addresses for future email marketing efforts, creating signs for participating businesses and much more.

We are working towards one goal-to help the businesses in downtown Spartanburg increase exposure, foot traffic and sales, and we hope you see the value in that. It's not easy sustaining a business, especially during construction, growth, and an ever-changing economy. We believe that by joining together and working towards this goal, that we can make downtown Spartanburg a great experience for visitors and a great place to own and operate a business.

We moved into the area around March of 2024 and live in Boiling Springs. For over 35 years, I ran a successful advertising design and marketing firm in Pennsylvania, which is still operating in South Carolina. Horizons Advertising specialized in helping small to medium-sized businesses maximize their advertising through a results-driven approach.
